Obituary

WATERVILLE & MARCY:

Marilyn Corbin Manion Mundy

Marilyn (Skip) passed at the age of 89 after a long and happy life. She was born in Waterville, New York; her parents were Mary (Corbin Gram) and Roy Corbin. Much like her Mom, she was a terrific homemaker, hosting almost every holiday and family gathering for at least 60 years. Marilyn was a beautician in Waterville and later worked at Agway Petroleum in Waterville and Marcy until she retired.

Marilyn was married to Marlan Manion for 28 years, they raised their 4 children on the family farm. Some of our fondest memories are her exceptional Christmases, the homemade dessert almost every day, and our house was always busy with friends, family, and visitors.

Marilyn was also Married to Carl Mundy for 31 years, he predeceased her. She and Carl lived in Marcy NY and had a summer home in the 1000 Islands where they loved to entertain family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her four children Edward Manion/Anne Wratten, Douglas Manion/Peter DeWitt, Bradley Manion/Jeffery Giocondo, and Mary Beth Cowen/Rick Anderson, and 6 grandchildren Jennifer Manion/ Mike Cirmo, Tracey Manion, Samuel Manion, Michelle Manion, Lauren Cowen Shoudy/ Matt Shoudy, and Andrea Cowen/Craig Roberts and 2 great grandchildren Marley Manion and Blake Harry. Marilyn is predeceased by son-in-law Bruce Cowen and three brothers Edward (Bud) Corbin, Robert (Bob) Corbin, and William (Bill) Corbin. She is survived by her 3 sisters-in-law, Marta Corbin, Ruth Corbin, and Patricia Corbin.

There will be a service and burial at a later date arranged by Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home in Waterville. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the maintenance of the Waterville Catholic Cemetery. Contributions should be made out to: St Bernard’s Cemetery Fund and sent to: Parrish Office, 199 Stafford Ave – South, Waterville, NY 13480.

Marilyn & Carl were our neighbors at Lake of the Isles, Wellesley Island, NY. We have such fond memories of our many summers together--Marilyn loved to entertain and to cook great meals!! We had so many happy, sunny days together with our small group together each week-end. When summers ended, we'd drive back & forth to see each other & share another meal together. Marilyn was a true friend in every sense of the word. R.I.P. Marilyn-
