Obituary for Charles D. Luberger

Charles D. “Charlie” Luberger, 60, of County Road 21, Smyrna, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
Charlie was born on April 18, 1960 in Tarrytown, NY, a son of the late Charles J. “CJ” and Lucille Burchetta Luberger. He was a graduate of Tarrytown High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Delaware Valley College. On August 24, 1985, Charlie was united in marriage to Gerry Aherne in Philadelphia, PA. Charlie was a farmer who raised cash crops and produced maple syrup. He took great pride in the upkeep of his property. He was a friendly “people person” who liked meeting and talking to anyone. He enjoyed playing golf and skiing. He was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne, NY.
Surviving are his loving wife, Gerry; an uncle, Edward and Catherine Burchetta of FL; and several in-laws. He was predeceased by his sister, Cathy Lynn in 2008.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne.
Interment will in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY at the convenience of his family.
