He was born June 18, 1989 in Norwich, a son of Robert A. Janitz and Kathleen Rogerson Turner and was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School. Scott had a deep sense of commitment and love for his family. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. He always took an interest in his younger sibling’s school and extracurricular activities and loved golfing with his dad and older brothers. His quick wit and acute sense of humor brought laughter to anyone around him. Scott played youth hockey for much of his childhood. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing hockey and was an avid video gamer. He supported the New York Giants, New York Yankees, Dallas Stars NHL team, Syracuse University basketball and Colgate ice hockey. Scott lived for many years in Fort Worth, Texas and was employed by Charter Communications as a Broadband Installation Technician, receiving many company and customer commendations for his high-quality work and excellent service. He had a love for animals, especially dogs.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Kathleen and Eric Turner of Sherburne; father, Robert “Bob” Janitz of Norwich; sisters, Rebecca Turner and Nicole Turner, both of Sherburne; step-sister, Samantha Turner of Bridgewater; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Molly Janitz, and their son Troy, whom Scott loved very much; Andrew and Emilee Janitz; and Jonathan Turner, all of Sherburne; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Peter A. Rogerson, Joan B. Billadeau, Robert L. and Grace E. Janitz.

We so enjoyed our nephew Scott, he was always personable and friendly, and a beloved member of our family. I especially appreciated how he treated our Mother with kindness, helping her out with her lawn and other chores around the house. We will all miss him.
