Pam was born November 18, 1953 in Norwich, to Irene “Ethel” (Rifanburg) and Dwight Burlison. Pam grew up in Norwich and was raised by her special Parents Sam and Dorothy Shipton. She graduated from Norwich High School.
On July 10, 1975 Pam married her best friend, and the love of her life, Bob Donnelly. Bob and Pam loved to travel the country, eventually living in California. Throughout their 47 years of marriage they lived there multiple times. In 1990 Pam attended nursing school and graduated with her LPN. She worked locally for many years at the Vets Home, CMH, and Valley View. She had a passion for her job, and eventually got her job that she was most proud of, being a traveling nurse and working in hundreds of nursing facilities in Connecticut. Pam was so proud of being a nurse, but her greatest accomplishment in life was her family which she loved more than anything.
Pam was predeceased by her loving husband, and infant twin daughters Stacey Lee, and Tracey Lynn; brothers, LeRoy, Stanley, and John; sister Carol, and her parents.
Pam is survived by her children; Josh (Melissa) Donnelly of New Berlin, Mikayla (Brian) DeVaul of Norwich, grandchildren; Shawna (Howard), Summer, Dominic, and Scarlette. great-grandchildren, Chase and Addison; sisters, Patricia (Wesley) Steele and Jean (Larry) Blackman; and brothers, Fred Burlison and James Shipton; as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dan Donnelly and Fern Hilsinger. Pam is also survived by her very special niece Phillamena Bates and nephews Terrance (Alicia) Fowlston, and Rick Donnelly, along with many other special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pam was a very special lady with a huge heart of gold that would take in anybody that needed help. Known as Grandma Pam, and Aunt Pam to most, her spirit and warm smile will truly be missed by so many.
Pam didn’t wish to have services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY.
