Elizabeth Ann (Morton) Ellis, 90, formerly of West Eaton passed away Sunday December 27, 2020 at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
She was born April 26, 1930 in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of Harold, Sr. and Esther Peck Morton and was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy. She had married Robert Ellis who died in January 2000. Elizabeth had worked for Chappell’s Department Store in Syracuse, the Madison County Department of Social Services, and later as a CNA at the Gerrit Smith Infirmary and then the Crouse Community Center. She enjoyed cooking and reading.
Elizabeth was a former member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Syracuse. She was a member of the C.S.E.A.
Surviving are her sons, Robert H. Ellis, Jr. and Mark Ellis (Beth Perra), of Jamesville; Terrance “Terry” Ellis (Mary Ann Lowell) of Morrisville; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas “Tom” Ellis, a sister, Marjory Long, and a brother, Harold Morton, Jr.
A Memorial service will be held at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville at a later date in the spring.
Interment will be in the Morrisville Cemetery.
