JULIE J. SKRAMKO

GEORGETOWN: Julie J. Skramko, 61, of State Highway 26, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chittenango, NY.
She was born January 15, 1958 in Oneida, NY, a daughter of Kenneth and Mary Perry Jones and was a graduate of Otselic Valley High School. On October 27, 1978, Julie married Daniel R. Skramko at the Georgetown Baptist Church, a loving union of over 40 years. Julie had worked for several area companies including Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton; Agway in Georgetown, Pohl’s Feed Way in Vernon, CPAP Express in Camillus and UHS Professional Home Care in Norwich. She had also done child care at home. Julie was an excellent baker whose specialty was apple pie. She helped at local organizations cooking or volunteering, wherever there was a need. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a life long member of the Georgetown Baptist Church; a member of the Georgetown Firemen’s Auxiliary; the Georgetown Historical Society; the Community Chest and the library.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel R. Skramko; her father, Kenneth Jones of Cortland; a daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Alex Tumilowicz of Norwich; grandchildren, Juliana and Nikodem; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Hall of Virgil; Roberta and David Link of Morrisville. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary; a son, Aaron Scott; a sister, Deborah Chapin; and her in-laws, Julia M. and Daniel D. Skramko.
Memorial services will be held at 10am Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Georgetown Baptist Church.
Interment in the West Eaton Cemetery is private at the convenience of her family.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Georgetown Baptist Church or to the Georgetown Fire Department.
